Meet Your September Resident of the Month!
Laurel Square is happy to announce our September Resident of the Month, Ms. Dawn Smith.
Ms. Smith was born and raised in South Philadelphia and West Philadelphia. She was in the Philadelphia School District where she graduated from West Philadelphia High School.
After high school, she attended James Martin Nursing School and became a Nursing Assistant and worked at several nursing homes and hospitals for over 10 years. Ms. Smith then decided to change her career and worked at several taverns as a barmaid for over 5 years.
Ms. Smith was married and with that union she had four beautiful children with one deceased and also has six grandchildren. She lives a peaceful life and loves cats. She has resided here at Laurel Square since 2019. She had some obstacles where she lost her sight but after having eye surgery her sight returned. It is such an honor to celebrate Ms. Smith as our Resident of the Month.
